		<description>^^ Just update using the windows update and that should restore the Windows drivers. After that restart your PC and it should work fine.</description>

		<description>i have uninstalled IDT as per your suggestion. on restarting system sound is gone. system on its own installed high defination audio bus. But sound is not coming at all. I am not having any Windows Vista CD. 

It will be of great help if you can provide me the link to download original vista drivers or send me a copy of these drivers on my email id

		<description>How does using these drivers affect the headphone and mic/line-in jacks?

Will the laptop still know the difference between a line in source and a device mic?  what about if you use the jacks for surround sound?  the IDT control panel allows for assigning front, rear center/sub.  Is this affected?
